THE GOD DAMN SONS OF BITCHES
From the beginning intended as a continuation of SObER, this project was put together in 1998 by Jimmie Olsson (SObER), a year after SObER "went to the freezer" and Anders 'Carla' Karlsson (Passage 4), Fredrik Jansson (In Between Days) and Kjell Ramstedt (No Fun At All) was recruited to play on the recording of four songs to launch the new constellation.
Only three songs were fully recorded and the project didn't continued in the original form. Instead it turned into a whole new band afterwards (Speedking).
However, the recording was good enough to go down in rock'n'roll history and in october 2014, now 16 years later, the EP was digitally released on all major digital music platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, Wimp, Deezer, Amazon.com and Rhapsody – a release that can also plume itself to be the first release ever on IMI records!
No particular name of the band was given at the time of the recording as it was thought to be "the new" SObER at first, but when it stood clear that it was not going to be a continuation (and a good decision as well since there only can be one SObER!) a sort of muck name was given to the project. And because it was a constellation of "bastards" taken from different bands, it was called The God Damn Sons of Bitches.
